Art & Architecture

The integration of Art within our Architecture is fundamental to our collaborative approach.

The Hive in Manchester’s Northern Quarter has the city’s largest piece of public art integrated into its facade; a brise soleil the result of a national design competition. As a home of the creative industries, the Hive has become one of Manchester’s key temporary art spaces.

At the executive lounge at Manchester Airport’s Terminal One, the Escape Lounge, we worked with two artists to produce ceramics and stitched timbers which were integrated into the interior – total design.

At Springfield Lane, Salford, the ground floor was designed as a lighting installation. Art meets urban regeneration meets a place to live.

Our collaborations with Len Grant for both Trafford Town Hall and Your Housing Trust record the journey of projects and connection with the people they are for.

Our award and exhibition for new creative talent promotes graduate artists from MMU’s Faculty of Art and Design providing a step between education and practice.
